Scroll Poetry Support

Welcome, and thanks for using ScrollPoetry — your pocket library of classic poetry. We're glad you're here, and we're happy to help.

The best way to reach us is by email:

hello@scrollpoetry.com

ScrollPoetry is built and supported by one person so please be patient — we typically reply within 1–2 business days. When you write in, it helps to include your device and iOS version, what you were trying to do, and a screenshot if something looks broken.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use ScrollPoetry?

No. ScrollPoetry works fully offline and without an account. You can browse, read, like, bookmark, rate, review, memorize, and build collections — all stored locally on your device. An account is only needed if you want your library to sync across multiple devices.

How do I create an account?

Open the app, go to your profile or settings, and choose Sign in / Create account. You'll set up an email address and password. Once signed in, your library starts syncing automatically.

How does syncing work?

When you're signed in, your likes, bookmarks, ratings, reviews, notes, highlights, collections, and practice/streak progress are securely saved to the cloud and kept in sync across every device where you're signed in to the same account. If you read on your iPhone and pick up your iPad later, everything's already there.

How do I delete my account and data?

Email us at hello@scrollpoetry.com from the address tied to your account and ask us to delete it. We'll remove your account and the personal data associated with it, typically within 30 days. If you only want to clear the local copy on a device, you can also just delete the app.

What is ScrollPoetry Plus?

ScrollPoetry Plus is our optional subscription. It unlocks:

Plus is available as a monthly or annual subscription and includes a 3-day free trial. The free tier always keeps the feed, reading, like/bookmark/rate/review, basic memorization, collections, the free on-device narration voice, and a taste of the About sections.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID, so you manage them in Settings, not inside the app:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Select ScrollPoetry and choose to change your plan or cancel.

If you cancel, you keep Plus access until the end of your current billing period. Canceling during the free trial (at least 24 hours before it ends) means you won't be charged. Because Apple processes billing, refund requests are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.

Can I use the app offline?

Yes. The poem library and all your reading and practice features work offline. You only need an internet connection to sign in/sync, to use premium “pro” narration voices, and to load certain Plus content.

How does narration work?

Tap the play / audio control on a poem to hear it read aloud. The free on-device voice runs entirely on your device and works offline. ScrollPoetry Plus adds premium “pro” voices (powered by ElevenLabs) for a richer, more natural reading — these require an internet connection.

Can I change the fonts and themes? Is the app accessible?

Yes. You can switch between multiple reading themes and fonts to find what's most comfortable (all themes and fonts are unlocked with Plus). ScrollPoetry also supports the system's standard accessibility features. If you have a specific accessibility need or suggestion, please email us — we want the app to work well for everyone.

How do I request a poem or poet?

We're always expanding the library of public-domain classics. If there's a poem or poet you'd love to see, email hello@scrollpoetry.com with the title and author and we'll add it to our list. (Note: we can only include works that are in the public domain.)

Why is some content missing or marked as a teaser?

A few features — like full poem analysis, certain “About” details, pro voices, the recitation test, and add-your-own poems — are part of ScrollPoetry Plus. On the free tier you'll see a preview or teaser, and you can unlock the full experience anytime with a subscription.

I found a bug or have feedback.

Wonderful — we genuinely want to hear it. Email hello@scrollpoetry.com with what happened (and a screenshot if you have one). Feedback shapes what we build next.
